        Online Grades

        When you receive your username and password, you can login to the Parent Portal: Wilmette's online gradebook. This feature may not be available at the beginning of the school year.

        Class Information

        Listed below are the rules and policies of the classroom and general information about science on Team 7B.

        Work Expectations

        All work that is completed in science will have the following.
        • All work will be done with proper spelling.
        • All work will be done with proper grammar.
        • All work will be done with full and complete sentences.
        • All work will be done with attention to detail.

        Work that is not completed as mentioned will receive, at most, a grade of a C. You work must show proper mechanics, detail, and correct ideas in order to receive an A.

        You may submit corrections to your work. All corrections must be done on a separate sheet of paper. The corrections must be stapled to the original sheet. The corrections are due the day after the original sheet is returned to you.

        The BIG Topics

        1. You always have homework: review and study what we learned in class.
        2. Always be safe in the science classroom.
        3. Speak with Mr. Ower to make-up a lab.
        4. Appropriate behavior is always expected in class.

        Late Homework Policy

        It is my policy not to mark down students who turn work in late. However, if you do not do your homework or if you turn in an incomplete assignment you will be sent to the Homework Assistance Program to finish the assignment.

        Classroom Rules and Consquences

        Rules
        1. Be respectful of students, teachers, guests, and equipment in the classroom.
        2. Raise hand when you need to ask a question, make a comment, or leave your seat.
        3. Actively listen by giving your undivided attention to the speaker.
        4. Come to class prepared with all required materials.
        5. Read and follow all instructions in class.
        6. Actively participate in class by asking questions and comments that are relevant to the topic.
        7. Always try your hardest; always do your best!

        Consequences
        * The student will sign the red folder.
        * A demerit will be given to the student.
        * Loss of lab/activity privileges
        * Meeting with parents.

        General Class Policies

        Daily Required Materials
        * Notebook
        * Pen and pencil
        * Science Binder
        * Assignment Notebook

        Misbehavior in a Lab or Class
        Misbehavior and unsafe behavior is not tolerated. Only one warning will be issued to the student before the student receives a demerit. Consistent misbehavior or unsafe actions in a lab can result in a loss of lab privileges. Should you no longer be able to participate in a lab, you are expected to complete a writing assignment related to the lab. Lab privileges will be reinstated once you demonstrate you can work safely and cooperatively in a lab.

        Tardiness
        You are considered late to class if you are not in your seat, with your required materials, ready to go when the bell rings.
        You are not considered late to class if you have a pass. Anyone who is tardy must sign the red folder
